Project Outloud was developed in response to a growing need for inclusive spaces that amplify the voices of marginalized LGBTQ+ communities.
Live OutLoud.
Central New York lacks sufficient resources and events dedicated to celebrating and supporting the diverse identities within its queer population. Many LGBTQ+ individuals in the region experience social isolation, limited visibility, and barriers to accessing affirming resources. By prioritizing events such as voguing balls, Pride activations, and professional networking opportunities, Project Outloud addresses these gaps and creates platforms for self-expression, community building, and advocacy. This initiative also emphasizes intersectionality, fostering dialogue around race, gender identity, and queer culture in ways that challenge stigma and promote inclusion.
This project is led by artist Jaleel Campbell and proudly funded by the Central New York Community Foundation.
